DRR.SH develops practical tools that organize and communicate disaster risk information. Each tool should be read together with its named sources, update date, methodology and limitations.

Sources and traceability

Tools draw on publicly available scientific, governmental, intergovernmental and other identified sources. Wherever practicable, outputs are linked to the underlying source material so users can examine the original evidence, context and valid period.

Use of artificial intelligence

Generative AI tools, including ChatGPT, are used to support software development, data structuring, source review, drafting and synthesis of selected information. The scope, methodology, source selection and substantive direction are determined by Amin Shamseddini.

AI-assisted outputs are subject to ongoing human review and may still contain errors, omissions or misinterpretations. Users should consult the cited original sources and relevant authoritative information rather than relying solely on an AI-assisted synthesis.

Uncertainty and change

Risk information is inherently conditional and may change as observations, forecasts, methods or source records are updated. Dates, valid periods and evidence status are displayed where available. Absence of information should not be interpreted as absence of risk.

Corrections and iteration

This site and its tools are under active development. Data, classifications, methods and interface elements may change as sources are reviewed and new evidence becomes available. Source corrections and methodological improvements may lead to revised classifications or narratives. Version and update information is provided within individual tools where available.

Artificial intelligence supports parts of the workflow; it does not replace source verification, expert judgement or responsibility for decisions.
